My hexed 3D terrain boards on display at PAX2015

Post by Deadweight » Tue Sep 01, 2015 6:04 pm

Doin' my part to get more people into Battletech, I decided to make this.

The rest of the much better quality photos that I took of my terrain while at PAX can be found here.

Dammit. I was supposed to go this year.
Never had much, grew up with nothing
But the music, well it was something
Been down and out, I've been on top of the world,
World that keeps on spinning on a turntable.

Very cool. Reminds me how I have always wanted to see a Battletech video game in the spirit of the various LEGO-based games, not super realistic but rather like you were piloting a BT minature around a 3D hex terrain just like that. :D

I had one like this built and used on the Games Fair in Essen, Germany. It was the year when the Magic TGC came out. My Terrain boards were 6m² and guess what... because of stupid Magic there was no prominent place to play BattleTech. I hate TCGs since then, with a passion.
When the injustice is great enough, Justice will lend me the strength needed to correct it.
None may stand against it.
It will shatter every barrier, sunder any shield, tear through any enchantment and lend its servant the power to pass sentence.
Know this: there is nothing on all the Planes that can stay the hand of justice when it is brought against them.
It may unmake armies. It may sunder the thrones of gods.
Know that for ALL who betray Justice, I am their fate... and fate carries an Executioner's Axe.

I take it you weren't a fan of the BT CCG then.

To bad. It was actually a decent game. I've still got my collection in the garage ;)
