Hello
personally I would go for all rules that raise realism, make the game more detailed and add a level of uncertainty.
But doing so would mean that most rules would be active, that is maybe not so easy to agree on with the opponent alone because of the huge amount of rules.
Because of that I would at least like to come up with some must have rules, any recommendations for them?
Regards

Re: What are the must have game options?
do you mean to suggest alternate settings, or settings on top of what the game already enforces?
When the injustice is great enough, Justice will lend me the strength needed to correct it.
None may stand against it.
It will shatter every barrier, sunder any shield, tear through any enchantment and lend its servant the power to pass sentence.
Know this: there is nothing on all the Planes that can stay the hand of justice when it is brought against them.
It may unmake armies. It may sunder the thrones of gods.
Know that for ALL who betray Justice, I am their fate... and fate carries an Executioner's Axe.

I don't understand what your asking to be honest can you give us some more detail?
Re: What are the must have game options?
If it isn't clear, I mean the game options in the client with all the rules from TacOps, StratOps and the other rule books and the unofficial rules.
What of those are a must have?
Isn't it a must have to prohibit invalid unit designs?(option found under "Allowed units and equipment" tab)

Re: What are the must have game options?
I think we are still a bit confused by your request. Are you looking for recommended rule options to select while playing games on the 3025 server against other players or on your own? The current rule set has been carefully worked over to provide as balanced a game as we can. The most common option change and asked for in games here is to turn Sim Fire on.
it ain't no taint to be the Saint

Well no as many cannon units are invalid unit designs.BigDuke66 wrote:If it isn't clear, I mean the game options in the client with all the rules from TacOps, StratOps and the other rule books and the unofficial rules.

@Saint
I thought the current set was just a default set that everyone can agree on, don't think that there are many options that shift balance as the effect of a rule is usually applied to both sides equally.
Anyhow Sim Fire sounds helpful and if many agree on I will try recommend it for my future games.
@Chaser
Many canon invalid designs? Wonder how many, I thought there are just some older special designs that do not fit. I was just irritated as the pop-up for that option speaks about cheating if such units are allowed, but if you ban canon designs there isn't any sense to activate it, thanks for the info.

Off the top of my head. Wolverines are invalid iirc.
