Complaint vs Wolfhound

I'd have been happy with an ignore and NP, but this is being posted at the request of an admin.

Refusing to follow the posted rules on infernos, and then resorting to flippant comments and insults when asked to. Also, painfully slow play due to obviously not paying attention to the game, since it was often taking him 1-2 minutes just to click done for initiative and heat phases, not to mention the time spent moving.

To be fair, I don't really fault him for the inferno rule since he had been informed by a mod that the rule had changed (it hadn't). I do fault him for his childish and insulting response to my asking him to follow the posted rules, as well as the incredibly inconsiderate slow play.

Beckett: youre joking, right? youve been taking several minutes to move each mech, as well over a min to click done on things like init and heat phase, its obvious youre doing something else while you play and not really paying attention to the game

Beckett: that post is still in rules, theres nothing saying its revoked, im just asking you to play by the rules

Wolfhound: I told you where it was going

Wolfhound: The target is in front of the mech

Beckett: no, you made a flippant comment that avoided the question

Wolfhound: I am firing the srms out of the srm tube

Wolfhound: I believe this world has an atmosphere so they are going to hit air

Beckett: fyi, by turn 2 id already decided to NP you for painfully slow play, so i dont mind sitting here til you behave like an adult

Wolfhound: If you weren't a moron you would have realized that there wasn't anything in the firing arc of either wasp

Beckett: thats all i needed... so now you know how to follow the rules, you can do it on subsequent turns too, right?

(For the record, my assuming he'd follow the rules in subsequent turns was overly optimistic.)

Beckett: show me the post where the rules were changed, and ill happily concede the point

Wolfhound: you waited to raise a fuss untill he signed off and jackel wasn't online yet I had been firing that since round 1

My involvement was after the issue, as I had left the site. My OPINION on the matter is that declaring infernos is a rule book rule,,,but not used a lot at mekwars, as we're using sim fire. If one gamer wants to use it, ask, and it should be used from that point in a game onwards....somple courtesy. Also I 've asked admin to state the official ruling, as it's above my pay grade. A Mod doesn't make the rules.

Again...I'm a mod and NOT admin. I do not make or change rules here. I have no authority to recind a rule, either a book rule or a site rule.

So a whole bunch of things with this.

1. I spent most of the past few months declaring infernos only to be told by various mods and admins to stop. that it was unnessacary I had been firing infernos since round 2 when he decided to notice that infernos had been fired conveniently right after literally 2 minutes after mods had logged off in round 8 or 9.

2. The round he decided to ask for a declaration the wasp that had infernos had nothing in its firing arc for them... They weren't being fired at anything as I told him.

3. As for delaying, eh, both of us were playing fairly slowly neither one much more than the other, I did have about 9 units to his about 5 so sometimes my second unit was being measured and what not for a few moments. I'm not the one that was using intentional delaying as a tactic.

4. While it was ongoing I went to Jackal who was AFK at the time for a clarification.

5. Part of the impact of infernos is not knowing until they go in the firing phase where they will be going or where they will be landing and how many. Manage or take your risks accordingly.

-Who are the various mods and admins who told you to stop? This instruction to stop must have happened recently since you've only rejoined for a few months.
