Wiki team

The wiki team is made up of volunteer players which purpose is to fill the gap between administrators/conceptors/veterans players from the new newbies. As every community driven project, MegaMekNET suffers a recurring lack of information. Our goal is to allow new player to access as much information they need without depending on the veteran's willingness to help.

The wiki-team

Mission

As seen in MegaMekNET forum.

Team leader: User:Major Frantic. He's the person responsible for this team's work. He picks his team members, he presents the team's results to admins.

Here the guidelines for this work team:

• Edit the wiki at will. Don't be afraid to experiment. Feel free to ask me questions about how it works and what you can/can't do. Hint: split the workload and start reviewing all the pages for blatant errors and/our outdated information.
• Remember to ALWAYS stick to the facts, and avoid opinions unless clearly marked as such, with your game/forum username.
• Be clear, explicit, write in good english and remember that not anyone is a native english speaker. Avoid at all costs spelling and grammar errors.
• Add actual snapshots (if possible) when detailing game UI.
• Eliminate numeric references when you're not sure about the correctness. Check for correctness directly on game, of you can't access the data, with me.
• Always edit the articles while logged in with your name. If you want, create a small bio of yourself in the provided Users category.
• Use abundant linking, especially to game rules, relevant announcements, other wikipages, external resources, etc.
• Remember that only forum accounts in the "wiki" usergroup are allowed to edit the pages.

Join the wiki-team

Only Forum "Wiki Team" group members are allowed Wiki Team members. In order to join the wiki team you'll need a proper MegaMekNET forum account. Once you joined the group you'll be able to edit pages following the guidelines described above.

Report us problems

How can you help the wiki team without joining the wiki team (for your soul sake) ? That's quite simple, double check and report to the wiki team what you estimate needed or badly uttered. We may need screenshots, and other stuff like that.
