Battle Value

Battle Value (or BV) is how all fights in MegaMekNET are balanced; both sides are of equal or (almost always) near equal battle value. One of the most crucial skills for a successful commander is maximizing the battlefield utility they buy with the BV of their force. Synergies between Meks in a unit, expected terrain, opposition meks, and the talents and limitations of the commander can all make a mek perform better or worse than its BV.

Commanders who understand these factors and use them to create powerful forces will fight at an advantage against commanders who do not.

NOTE: A complete list of all the units in MegaMekNET, with their weapons load, armor factor and everything else that makes up the BV of a unit can be found within the MegaMekNET inerface. With your client running, choose the HELP menu, and select UNIT VIEWER.
