I got blinded today at about the same time I deactivated and ended up losing flu xp and bills. I'm sure it happens to everyone at some point.

I'd like to suggest adding a confirmation dialog box for deactivation but only in the case where one of your armies is under attack. You know, something along the lines of "Your forces are under attack, do you really want to incur the penalties for premature retreat?"
