The Council of Six

For the next cycle, we are going to try out a new approach to campaign design and management, one that has not been tried in any significant fashion in a very long time: we're going to empower you, the players.

The Council of Six will be composed of the Faction Leaders for each of the five Great Houses and the Periphery Kingdoms. They will decide, through Council vote, changes to the campaign environment. In cases of a tie, Comstar will step in and break the tie.

It is our hope that the formation of this Council will alleviate what many people see as one of the weaknesses of this server, and make the user base feel more enfranchised and an important part of server environment.

To this end, I am going to open up defection to all factions and remove the defection penalty. It is my hope that we can get a larger player base and then open up voting, which will allow us to put a Council in place and get ready for the start of a new Inner Sphere.

If you defect, please use User Control Panel -> Usergroups to remove yourself from your old faction forum and request access to your new faction forum.

I'd like to repeat this: the new cycle is in the hands of the players. Get together in the factions and think about who you want to have as your leaders for the next cycle, because those guys will have a real say in what's going to happen.

The Council has started filling up:

Davion: Seat currently empty
Liao: Voting has commenced
Kurita: Councilman Jackal has been appointed to the Council
Marik: Councilman Lando has been appointed to the Council
Steiner: Councilman Gambit has been appointed to the Council
Periphery: Councilman BaRbArIaN has been appointed to the Council

Further announcements to be expected shortly. We will be resetting the Campaign, including a full player reset, on the last weekend of the month. Council members will be expected to rejoin the house that appointed them to the Council.

Councilman Barbarian has abdicated in favor of Councilman Mole.

It appears that Councilman Nastyogre, a recent immigrant, will be elected in House Liao.

Apparently CC lacks a certain law that only people born in CC may become chancellor.
