Error when creating planet

Post by Machiavelli » Sat Feb 12, 2011 4:48 am

This may be a non-issue since all seems to work ok, but:

Whenever using the 'create a planet' function from the server admin menu, it generates this error in an error tab in client:

Code: Select all

[20:43] Error executing dataprovider command: All
[20:43] [java.util.ConcurrentModificationException]
[20:43] java.util.TreeMap$PrivateEntryIterator.nextEntry(Unknown Source)
[20:43] java.util.TreeMap$ValueIterator.next(Unknown Source)
[20:43] common.CampaignData.binPlanetsOut(CampaignData.java:404)
[20:43] common.CampaignData.binOut(CampaignData.java:358)
[20:43] server.dataProvider.commands.All.execute(All.java:40)
[20:43] server.dataProvider.CommandTaskThread.run(CommandTaskThread.java:119)
This is the exact same error that shows up in the server error log. Again, I enter the planet names, X and Y coords and the planet seems to still be created. Have shut down and restarted the server and all seems well with the map, but don't want to spend the many, many hours building a map if this error is going to come back to bite me later. Since everything seems to still create correctly, this may be just an fyi.

does the same error happen when you try to create a planet with rightclicking the starmap ?
When the injustice is great enough, Justice will lend me the strength needed to correct it.
None may stand against it.
It will shatter every barrier, sunder any shield, tear through any enchantment and lend its servant the power to pass sentence.
Know this: there is nothing on all the Planes that can stay the hand of justice when it is brought against them.
It may unmake armies. It may sunder the thrones of gods.
Know that for ALL who betray Justice, I am their fate... and fate carries an Executioner's Axe.

No such error when right-clicking on the map.

Do me a favor and report this bug on sourceforge, and I'll try to track it down.
Never had much, grew up with nothing
But the music, well it was something
Been down and out, I've been on top of the world,
World that keeps on spinning on a turntable.

Did you get my update to this bug report? I cannot recreate the issue at all.

Are your jars (all of them) from the same build?

I did get the update. I am currently planning to compile the current source and make sure all jars are current, both server and client side. Just have not had time to do so yet. RL is very busy atm. Hope to do so in the next day or so. Is it possible it may be an issue caused by my using the Beta Java 7?

I did go back and make sure I had all the jars included in the distro of 0.3.3.1.

Upon updating to newest version of server, error is no longer there. I have closed the bug report on sourceforge. Sorry for the trouble.
