72nd Sword of Light - leaving me stuck in game. Again

Post by obese pigeon » Sun May 24, 2015 11:11 am

#4 obese pigeon[FS] is attempting an Assault on Delitzsch (Units: 4 Meks / BV: 4274). 72nd Sword of Light[DC] is defending (Units: 4 Vees, 1 Inf / BV: 4420)

Planet Name: Delitzsch
Terrain Type: Snowcapped Pike (temperate winter Windy)

My army: - BJ-1 [3/5NAG] (without precision ammo, specifically for pinging heavy tank camp lances to death), CRB-20 [4/5], FS9-H [3/4DM,MS,NAG], WLF-1 [4/5GB]; BV: 4274

He has: Merkava, Shrek PPC carrier, Demolisher, and a Behemoth field with thunder mines

He deployed on top of a mountain. with his entire lance and basically just sat there. My idea was to let scatter arty kill him off, while pinging him to death with the BJ on 9s, and taking return PPC fire on 11. The WLF and CRB would take pot shots on 11 and 12 with LL on the Shrek. FS9 was coming up the blind side of the mountain using JJ with a plan to toast his infantry and to use terrain to point blank the Shrek without taking return fire from either the Demo and Behemoth.

After a few turns, when the shape of the play dawned on him.

72nd Sword of Light: this is boring
72nd Sword of Light: I'm having trouble staying awake to be honest
obese pigeon: it is
72nd Sword of Light: hope i don't fall asleep

At this point, im thinking 'oh boy, i bet he is going to try to lock me in game again, and he's just saying what he just said to create a justification.'

Sure enough. Not 5 mins later, he goes AFK in the middle of a firing phase.

obese pigeon: a straight up mech fight would be much more entertaining
obese pigeon: test
obese pigeon: skip the Demo's turn
obese pigeon: u there?

obese pigeon: its really frustrating

Edit: Zerberus helped me cancel the game, but there was no payoff and the planet did not change hands

Sorry obese pigeon, I fell asleep. Happy to retask and give you the win. It really wasn't intentional- I nodded off like 3 times before that happened. Please don't yell at me like you did Jug... It really wasn't intentional.

Acknowledgment noted; staff is discussing.

Got a good idea to add to MekWars? We'd love to hear about it. (from that page, go to "Tickets", then "Feature Requests")

I'm not angry. Like i said, i was half expecting this to happen.

Thanks for the offer of a retask and a win, but no thank you.

No offense, but i don't trust your word. In the short time i've known you, you've shown the capacity to be dishonest and morally flexible when your agenda calls for it.

I'll leave this for the collective wisdom of the mods.

Baseless accusations aren't necessary, but do what you see fit. Though I find it strange that you are refusing a solution to the situation. You may want to utilize your no-play slot if you dont' wish to have games with me...

Staff will decide what accusations are or are not baseless. Thank you, I think we've got this one.

I wasn't replying to staff, I was replying to obese pigeons' follow-up post. Sorry if that came off differently than intended, Klingon, but it certainly was NOT aimed at you or mods/admins, and I apologize if it seemed otherwise. I agree that I'm sure you folks have everything in hand.
